Some Tips About The way to Stream Video to Your iPad

By Morten Hansen

The holidays have calmed down and you ultimately have a little time to spend with your new iPad. Buying an iPad is straightforward, using it is another story. Streaming video to your iPad will open up a completely new sector of media heaven and offer unending chances without blocking your hard drive. It is simple and I'll tell you how to do it.

Watching video on your iPad can actually be one of the coolest functions of the gizmo. Viewing media on the iPad hasn't ever been clearer but what if you happen to have got a big film collection? Sure you can upload the movies to your iPad thru iTunes but the limited amount of space will clog up your iPad drive quick. The solution is straightforward. Stream your flicks from your computer to your iPad with no need to download them and take him drive space.

There are 1 or 2 different iPad programs that you can use to stream your media but the Stream Tome app appears to be the hottest. Stream Tome isn't free except for $3 it's one of the most profitable bargains when you remember what you get and the amount of hard drive space you may save for 1 or 2 measly dollars.

When you purchase Stream Tome you want to then download the server companion, Serve Tome (how cute right?). Once downloaded, open Serve Tome. Select the folders you want to share from your personal computer. Obviously your computer needs to be a network which is accessible through your iPad.

Now that Seve Book is open, launch Stream Tome from your iPad. Find the PC which homes the hard drive you want to share and tap it. Once in, search thru the folders and find the media of your choice. Open it and enjoy.

Notice I did not mention music much at all here. That is because Stream Tome is not a great music use. Playing music in Stream Book could be a bit frustrating as the program stops after each song. You cannot play a playlist or multiple songs. If you'd like to hear one song, fine. If you would like a jukebox, forget all about it. Streaming video from a different perspective is not a problem since most flicks are at least 90 minutes.

There are some restrictions. Protected video from the iTunes Store won't play on Stream Book. On the flip side, Stream Book offers playback on a lot of different video types including; MOV, FLV, MP4, AVI, M.p.g, MKV, and WMV.
